WHAT ARE MY SESSION FEES?

​

I utilize a tiered fee structure based on your payment method and insurance status:

​

• Medical Aid Claims: Sessions are charged at your scheme's specific 2026 medical aid rates, which typically range between R1 288.00 and R1 550.00.

• Private (Self-Funded) Rates: My base rate is R1,400. However, I offer a tiered discount for clients paying out-of-pocket, provided payment is made within one week of the invoice date:

  • R1,150: For cash payments made immediately after the session.

  • R1,250: For EFTs made before the session or card payments made immediately after.

  • R1,300: For EFTs made after the session.

HOW DOES BILLING WORK FOR MEDICAL AID?

I claim directly from most major South African medical aids on your behalf. To ensure your scheme successfully funds your sessions, the first session must be paid privately by the client. Once your medical aid pays the claim to my practice, this initial payment will be fully refunded to you. It is always advised that you confirm with your medical aid what your annual benefit for psychological services is as it is generally paid from Medical Aid Savings or Prescribed Minimum Benefits, which also only covers specific diagnoses.

WHAT IS MY CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING POLICY

To respect the time reserved for your care and the needs of other clients, the following fees apply to missed or late-changed appointments:

Late Cancellation or Rescheduling: R900 is charged for any changes made with less than 24 hours' notice.

The Rescheduling Grace Window: If you need to change an appointment within the 24-hour window, I will make every effort to accommodate a reschedule within the same week (or before your next scheduled appointment), subject to my availability. If a mutually suitable alternative time cannot be found, the late cancellation fee of R900 will unfortunately apply.
 

No-Show: R1,050 is charged if an appointment is missed without any prior notice.

Please note: Medical aids do not cover these fees; they are the sole responsibility of the client.

HOW MANY SESSIONS DO YOU NEED?​

Therapy is highly individualised. During our first 1–2 sessions, we will conduct a thorough assessment. From there, we will discuss a preliminary plan. Some clients find relief in short-term work (6–12 sessions), while others benefit from longer-term, depth-oriented therapy.

 

​​WHAT ARE YOUR OFFICE HOURS?

​

Office hours are from 10:00 to 19:00, Mondays to Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00-18:00. All sessions are to be booked in advance. I will do my best to respond within 24 hours (Business hours).
